Stop Telegram bot spam messages without losing real support requests. Know when to mute, block, clear, delete, or ban a user in SUCH.

Fix a Telegram bot that does not reply by checking its connection, reply setup, AI credits, team access, or group privacy.

You send a message to your Telegram bot and get nothing back. Before changing a token or a Telegram setting, find out whether the bot has ever been given a way to reply.
Creating a bot in @BotFather gives it a name, a username, and a token. It does not add a welcome message, a human support team, or an automatic AI answer. A separate service must be connected to run the bot and send messages back.
Start with one simple private-chat reply. Once that works, you can tell whether the remaining issue is a saved command, Bot AI, your team, a group, or one blocked customer.
If you used /newbot in @BotFather but did not connect the token anywhere else, the bot has no reply service yet. For a no-code support bot, open @SUCH, send /new, and paste the token from BotFather when asked.
That connects the Telegram bot to a SUCH project. It does not create an automatic answer for every message. Set up one simple first reply next, then test it. The no-code Telegram support bot setup shows the complete connection flow.
If you already connected the bot, do not create another one in BotFather. Continue with the test below.
A welcome message is the best first test because it has one clear trigger: a person presses Start in a new chat with the bot. It is set in SUCH, not in BotFather.
app.such.chat.If that account sees the welcome message, the bot is connected and can reply in a private chat. The welcome-message guide has examples and the full editing route.
If the account does not see anything, return to Welcome message and make sure the text was saved. Test again with an account that has not started the bot before. If the saved message still does not arrive, open @SUCH, send /new, and submit the bot's current active token again. Sending the same token reconnects the bot; it does not create a new one.
The welcome test proves the connection. It does not mean every later message will get an automatic answer. After the first greeting, the bot needs a configured way to handle the customer's message.
For human support, a customer message goes to you or your connected team. A person writes the reply. There is no automatic answer unless you also set up Bot AI or a custom command.
For a fixed answer, the customer must send the command you created. For example, a reply saved for /hours runs when the customer sends /hours; a normal message such as "Hello" does not run that command. To create or repair one, send /set_command to your support bot, then send the command, the reply it should send, and its short description. Do this in the bot chat, not in BotFather. The custom-command guide has the exact sequence.
For an automatic reply to a normal question, set up Bot AI and use the next section.
Bot AI is the SUCH option that writes automatic answers. Open app.such.chat, click your account picture, choose the bot, open Project Settings, then open Bot AI.
First, make sure the Bot AI switch is on. If it is off, the bot will not send an AI reply.
Next, look at Your AI credits at the top of that screen. If the balance is empty, new customer messages move to Open automatically. That means the next reply must come from you or your team. Add AI credits before expecting automatic replies again.
Then open the customer's conversation. Bot AI replies in Closed chats. A customer can send /human, and a team member can take over manually; either action moves the conversation to Open for a person to handle. After the human conversation is finished, close it to let Bot AI reply to a later message.
Only after those checks should you review Bot AI instructions and Bot knowledge. They control how the AI responds and what information it can use. The AI support bot guide covers those settings in full.
Seeing a customer message in a private support group proves that the bot delivered it there. It does not give every group member permission to reply as the bot.
The bot owner can open app.such.chat, select the bot from the account menu, open Project Settings, then choose Manage Team. Add the group member as an agent with +, then ask them to reply again.
For a new team, connect the bot to the private Telegram group through @SUCH with /team before adding group members as agents. The guide to multiple agents replying from one bot shows that order.
First send a new direct message to the bot. If the welcome test or another direct reply works, the connection is not the problem. The remaining issue is how Telegram delivers messages in that group.
Group support is available with SUCH PRO. In @BotFather, send /setprivacy, select the bot, then choose Disable. This lets the bot receive ordinary messages sent by people in the group.
Send a fresh plain message from a person in the group after changing the setting. A bot cannot receive messages sent by another bot, even when Privacy Mode is disabled. For a fuller explanation of the setting, read what a Telegram bot can see. Telegram bot permissions explains the separate question of when a group bot needs administrator permissions.
You can reconnect a bot at any time. Open @SUCH, send /new, then submit the current active token from BotFather. This is useful when the connection needs repairing, and it keeps the bot's existing SUCH data and settings.
Do not generate or revoke a token just to troubleshoot one missing reply. A different token, including one created after revoking this bot's token, creates a new connection and overwrites the previous SUCH bot data. The Telegram bot token guide explains when a replacement is necessary.
When the bot works for other people but not one person, ask the bot owner to check whether that chat was blocked. In the SUCH web app, open that customer's User Info, choose more, then choose Unblock Chat when the person should be allowed to write again.
For a first-time visitor who has never started the bot, send them the bot link and ask them to press Start. That begins the private chat and lets the welcome message arrive.
BotFather creates the bot and gives you its token. It does not set up replies. Connect the bot to a service, then add a welcome message, human team, custom command, or Bot AI.
The customer may have sent /human, a team member may have taken over, or the bot may have used all of its AI credits. An Open chat is waiting for a person; a Closed chat is where Bot AI can reply.
Check Privacy Mode in @BotFather and test with a message sent by a person, not another bot. Privacy Mode changes group delivery, not private-chat delivery.
